"For now, we can agree on one thing: Japan is not two halves of one inferior whole. It is a nation with many intricacies and traditions, as is any other country – and its people and culture shall not exist to be viewed through the eyes of the Occident." Explore the intersection of design and critical analysis with my publication and website focused on Orientalism in film. Inspired by my own essay on the subject, I used the origami crane as a visual thread, representing the dichotomies explored in the essay.
