Root & Bloom Academy

Root & Bloom Academy is a forest-based preschool for ages 2-5, dedicated to nurturing children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth through nature-driven learning. I discovered forest schools in my research on tech and screens in early childhood. I handmade my publication, “Guiding Children in a Digital World”, using Japanese stab binding, which fuelled me to create an environment for children to learn away from screens. This project aims to create a cohesive brand identity and guidance kit that captures the academy’s ethos while providing essential tools for parents and educators. The materials emphasize growth, exploration, and connection with nature. This project introduces Root & Bloom Academy to prospective parents through a mailed introductory info kit, filled with informational materials and play for their children. Each aspect of this kit from the branding and the contents has been created with care, acknowledging young minds as well as its forest school context.
