From The Mango Tree is an animation and short film created and written by me. Based on the feeling of nostalgia and disconnect I sometimes feel with my own Filipino identity, I designed and wrote an essay delving into this feeling.

I created a short story around this character who has just moved to the UK from the Philippines. In a moment of sadness, the character finds solace in her favourite Filipino snack that reminds her of home.

This film is a labour of love, dedicated to my family, partner, and Cebu dried mangoes.
